As a mom I know how often I turn to other moms for advice or even just to talk to and use as a sounding board. We dont always need proffessional help, but we so often need support and encouragement. As a teacher I've heard countless parents say, "if only there was a manual". The reality is we learn how to parent as we go along. But hopefully when we do get stuck we can turn to some-one for help. They say it takes a community to raise a child; I've seen many different types of communities that moms tend to turn to: family, friends, work colleagues, your children's teachers, mommy and baby classes etc.
I'm not a psychologist or a counsellor, but I am a mom and a teacher which gives me a unique perspective on parenting and kids. Perhaps there is something you would like to discuss with me or share? Send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
